Original Summary
So as someone who got into the Sports Card hobby (and some Pokemon for my son), I was bashing my head against a wall trying to find a better and more efficient way to list my cards for sale. I had to figure out the set and parallel, run comps for sold and active listings, then manually enter the info into new listings. Even as I got pretty efficient with those processes, it still took at least 2-3 minutes a card. So sitting down for an hour I might be able to get 20-30 cards listed. Then, of course, I would have to get something done around the house, something for work, or get kids to their activities. I looked for a better solution that could do everything in one spot, and when Card Ladder, or even eBay themselves didn’t have what I needed, I BUILT IT. Since then, my efficiency has increased 10x or more. I built SlabShot to be able to snap a photo or two of the card, then it scans, identifies, runs comps, even uses AI to pre-grade the card and run comps against those grades to give a recommendation if you should grade it or not. But best of all, after the 15-20 seconds to scan and run all of that, it has a listing already prepared, and lets you list to eBay in 1-click. So now I can list 10 cards in the time it took me to list 1. While this has been great for me personally, I realized a lot of people share this same pain, so I made this available as an app for the public. Scanning and Comping is FREE. To connect your eBay account and list from there is as low as $9.99/month, and everyone has said the $10 bucks is WELL WORTH the time savings. I wanted to share the personal success, but also let everyone know about it, in case they have the same pain points in the Sports/TCG card world. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/slabshot-card-scanner/id6789745296 submitted by /u/Home_Ice_Collectible [link] [comments]
