Original Summary
I've been in the mechanical keyboards community and I've been obsessed with these things for a while. I've always disliked trying to pair cases with keycaps, and not having a proper visualization for how it would look like from a KLE file. So, I made Keykaps! You can import a KLE JSON or .keykap file and turn it into an interactive 3D keyboard. From there you can: Interact with the keyboard using your actual keyboard (with sounds :D) Export the keyboard as a .glb 3D model RAHHHHH Export the keyboard case as a .glb too You can also convert the .glb into a .step and get it 3D printed :> The editor is basically my attempt at making a more visual and intuitive version of Keyboard Layout Editor, while also letting you actually see and work with the board in 3D. It's still a work in progress, but I find it really cool :) Try it: https://keykaps.aryan.am Source: https://github.com/aryan-madan/Keykaps Would love to hear what you think or what features you'd want to see added. submitted by /u/bozoAry [link] [comments]
