I've been thinking about a problem that most note-taking apps don't really solve. We read books, listen to podcasts, save highlights, learn things from other people, and occasionally arrive at important insights ourselves. But when a major decision actually happens— career, relationships, where to live, whether to take a risk— how much of that accumulated knowledge do we really use? In my case: surprisingly little. I've made decisions I later realized were based on pretty incomplete mental models. Choosing my college major was one example. Some relationship decisions were another.
