Original Summary
I’ve been thinking about how AI agents are changing SaaS pricing. Per-seat pricing makes sense when every user logs in and operates the product directly. But if one agent can complete work that previously required several users, charging by seat starts to feel disconnected from the value delivered. Usage-based pricing seems more logical, but it can also make costs unpredictable. Outcome-based pricing sounds attractive, although defining and measuring a successful outcome is not always simple. So I’m curious how SaaS founders are approaching this: Are you keeping per-seat pricing? Moving toward usage or credits? Charging for completed actions or outcomes? Using a hybrid model? And for anyone who has already changed pricing: did customers understand the new model easily, or did it create more friction? submitted by /u/Rich-Tap3354 [link] [comments]
