Original Summary
The loop is build, deploy, observe, something breaks, diagnose, fix, survive or fail, postmortem. You put components on a canvas and wire them up. When you deploy, traffic starts flowing through the graph and latency, cost and error rate move because of what you actually built. Then an incident lands. A spike, a zone going dark, a bot swarm on your login endpoint. You get seconds to work out which tier is the bottleneck. Two things I'm glad I did the hard way. The simulation is deterministic from a seed, so the backend can re-run a submitted architecture and compute the authoritative score itself, which means leaderboard entries can't be forged. And every level ships with reference solutions that get run through the engine in CI, so a level that is unsolvable or trivially cheesable fails the build instead of shipping. Free tier is the tutorial plus the first 12 of 44 levels, the daily challenge and the full reference encyclopedia. No account required, no ads, no energy timers. iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/infrasim-system-design-game/id6809240894 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.infrasim.app Would genuinely like to hear where it loses people in the first five minutes. submitted by /u/Individual_Main7377 [link] [comments]
