I know this probably isn’t a huge milestone compared to some of the numbers people post in here, but after spending about five months building my SaaS on the side, I finally hit 100 visitors to the site after being live for about two and a half weeks, and I currently have 6 active customers on WellnOS.app Obviously I know I still have a really long way to go, and 100 visitors isn’t some crazy amount of traffic, but it’s honestly just nice to finally see some traction after spending so much time building something and wondering if people were actually going to use it. For the better part of five months, it was basically just me working on it whenever I had time, testing things, changing things, fixing things that broke, and constantly trying to make it better. I’m a teacher myself and built the platform specifically for PE and Health teachers, so this has really just been a passion project based around problems I’ve dealt with in the field and things I thought could make other teachers’ lives a little easier. I’m doing all of this on the side while still teaching full time and having a family, so seeing actual teachers sign up, use something I built, and be willing to pay for it has been pretty rewarding. I know 6 customers isn’t a lot, and there’s still a ton I need to figure out when it comes to marketing, getting more traffic, conversions, retention, and everything else that comes with running a SaaS. But five months ago this was basically just an idea I had, and now there are real teachers using it. Definitely a small win, but one I’m pretty happy about.
