Hi r/SideProject , I've been building KinReady , an iPhone app for anyone who looks after an aging parent, a spouse or a child. It's also for keeping your own records. It's nearly ready for an external TestFlight beta, and I'm collecting sign-ups now for the first build that should be going out soon. The problem: When something goes wrong, the details you need are scattered. Medications are on a pill bottle, the insurance card is in a wallet, the directive is in a drawer and the bank's number is in someone's email. What it does: Keeps one place for each person in your family: medications, allergies, conditions, insurance, directives, documents and who to call at a bank or insurer. Builds an Emergency Card from those records. It's one page that an ambulance crew or a hospital desk can read at a glance, and you can share it as a PDF. Scans pill bottles, insurance cards and documents with the camera. The reading happens on the phone. Reminds you before documents expire and before appointments. Shares one person's records with family through iCloud sharing, as view-only or can-edit, and you can stop sharing at any time. The part I care about most is privacy. KinReady has no server, no sign-up inside the app and no analytics. Records stay on your iPhone and in your own iCloud account, so I can't read any of them.
