Original Summary
Hey r/SideProject , I'm Dave, and I'm working on Lumi with some friends. The idea: a bathroom mirror that reads your heart rate and breathing with a camera while you brush your teeth or drink your coffee. It pulls in sleep and other data from your Oura, Whoop, Apple Watch, cuff or scale, then shows one short sentence about what matters today. Why we're building it: people own more health gadgets than ever, but nobody connects the numbers. We wanted something you don't wear, charge or open. Where we are: concept and prototype stage. The image is a concept render, not a finished product. What we're honest about: Heart rate and breathing from the camera are solid. Recovery is shown only as a weekly trend. Blood pressure comes from your own cuff, because camera-based BP isn't accurate yet. Video is processed on the mirror and never leaves the house. We're still testing accuracy across skin tones and will publish the results before shipping. What I'd love feedback on: does this feel like something you'd use, or a gadget you'd stop looking at after two weeks? What would make it stick?
