Hey r/SideProject , this is Clipmark , a screen capture app for Windows 11. Print Screen, drag, done - same flow as Snipping Tool. I wanted that flow with a polished editor behind it, and a way to send a screenshot straight to an AI without saving and uploading it first. What Snipping Tool can't do Text labels. Snipping Tool has no text tool and sends you to Paint. Everything stays editable. Move, resize or rotate any box, arrow or label at any time, and arrows stick to the shape they point at. Save it as an editable PNG and change it next week. Ask AI: ask a question about the capture and get the answer in the same window. Send to AI pastes the capture straight into Claude Code, Codex, the Claude app or ChatGPT. Capture history, encrypted for your Windows account and stored only on your PC. Every emoji Windows can draw as a stamp, with search (Snipping Tool has 18). Also in there All capture modes and a capture delay. Text extraction with my own OCR engine , it works even on small captures. On 60 web pages in my benchmark it made 0.89% character errors, Snipping Tool 1.07%. Quick redact that finds a lot more than mail addresses and phone numbers. Copy as table and QR code reading. Screen recording with system audio and mic, and GIF export. 72 MB on disk instead of 586 MB. Captures never leave your PC unless you use Ask AI or Send to AI. Windows 11 x64 only. The Store version can't take over the Print Screen key by itself. Windows only allows that in its keyboard settings, so Clipmark links you there. There's no "Perfect screenshot" auto-fit like Snipping Tool has on Copilot+ PCs yet, but it's planned.
