Original Summary
Historically, SaaS vendors have offered custom API integrations as a paid service. What if the next evolution is building custom AI skills for customers ? Imagine a SaaS vendor developing and maintaining skills that customers can run in their own AI environments (e.g., Claude) to query data, generate insights, or execute workflows using the vendor's platform. Rather than customers building these capabilities themselves, the SaaS vendor offers them as an additional paid service, potentially with ongoing maintenance. I'm curious what the SaaS community thinks: Is there real customer demand for this? Could this become a new revenue stream for Professional Services? Would vendors embrace customers interacting with their products outside their own UI? Is anyone already experimenting with this model? submitted by /u/Super-Resort614 [link] [comments]
