Original Summary
Hi r/SideProject ! I'm the solo dev behind LeafBound, a personal library and reading tracker for Android. I just shipped v1.1.0 on the Play Store. Why I built it: I wanted a book app where the reader stays in control of their data. Most reading trackers require an account and keep your library on their servers, so if the service changes or shuts down, your history goes with it. LeafBound keeps everything on your device, with no account and no tracking. You can export your whole library as a JSON file whenever you want and import it back, so your data stays yours. What it does: - Add books by scanning the ISBN barcode (with batch scanning), searching by title/author/ISBN, or manually - Organize into collections, track status (to read / reading / read), paper vs ebook - Reading progress: badges, monthly challenges with tiers, reading stats - Book suggestions by themed shelves, prioritizing your app language (Open Library) - No account, no ads, no trackers - English and French Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gui0delp.leafbound Happy to answer any questions, and feedback is welcome! submitted by /u/tech_guillaume [link] [comments]
