Original Summary
Some background: I've been a software architect for 20+ years, and Melbees is my first game, built solo. What it is: a daily word puzzle in the spirit of Wordle, with Minesweeper logic and the general knowledge of Hangman. Each hex holds a letter you match or discard, the Pollen number says how many right letters sit among its neighbours, and every mistake costs a petal. How it was built: spare time over a few months. The architecture stays with me: the interfaces, the contracts and the class and sequence diagrams come first, and AI coding agents write the code from them and from the specs, never changing the design on their own. A local test gate runs before anything lands, and I play every release candidate on my own phone. Flutter for Android and Windows, Dart on the server. What I'd do differently: trust a green test run less, and sooner. One runner lost a file's output and still printed "All tests passed".
