Original Summary
Start with people who already complain about the problem. Search Reddit, Discord servers, and the reviews of similar products. You want the same complaint in different words from different people. One angry post is noise. Ten in a month means something. Social media gives the privilege of receiving instant advice for testing. Then check if money is already moving. If people pay for something close to your idea, that's good news, even if it means competition. If nobody pays for anything near it, find out why before you give it your evenings. Last, ask for something small before you build. A waitlist doesn't tell you much, since an email costs nothing, but it can be simpler. However a preorder or a deposit tells you a lot more. Say you're making a budgeting tool for freelancers. Put up one page with the price and a pay button, then see how many of 200 visitors click it. That number is your answer. None of this guarantees anything. It just keeps you from spending three months on something nobody asked for. I learned this while building my business ArcRise, guides on planning and launching an online business. What do you say about this post? submitted by /u/Arc_Rise [link] [comments]
