I work in the film and TV industry. I'm just a working man. My normal days run 10 to 12 hours plus, and I still gotta come home and read and prep for the next day. Sometimes there are rewrites and I have to read all this stuff. So I started messing around. The more I got into AI the more I wanted it to speed up my workflows. I was working on this other project and that led me into coding, and then I took a deep dive. Next thing you know I'm asking it questions and it's answering me, and I'm like, I wish something could read these scripts for me. Save me a lot of time. I still gotta work out, clean the house, do other things. If something reads to me I don't gotta waste time reading. And I don't want another subscription. I know there's stuff out there but I refuse to pay another one. So I built my app. The whole thing works offline too. I travel for work and sometimes I'm in weird locations, no internet, no service, and I still gotta read the script whether I have it or not. First I just wanted it to read to me. Then I was like, why can't I just dictate into this terminal, or into anywhere. Dictate an email, dictate into a Google search, whatever. One thing led to another and next thing you know I have an app. I told a few people about it, handed it out, and they said I should make it into a product. So I did. No sales yet but here I am. I'm working on the Linux version now, and I want to do a Mac version after that. I gotta buy a Mac first though. One thing at a time. At the speed things are moving, this stuff will probably all be free someday. But it'll be online. People could build this themselves if they wanted. Take two or three months. And honestly they probably should if they've got the time and the money. But if you just want something that works, here it is. Offline, private. If anybody tries it out, it's free to try for 14 days. And if you have any comments or suggestions I would love to hear them. I'm working on doing an upgrade right now, so if you try it and you've got recommendations, let me know. Anyway, that's my side project.
