Original Summary

I’ve been working on a business for the past year called ChatRep.com I hope this doesn’t come across as promotional. Not my intent and not even ready to launch. But need to explain what it is so there is context. It’s a bit different than the SaaS apps on here. It’s AI trained on your company and maintained by us that powers chat, voice, seo. Tons of AI chatbots out there. What makes us a bit different is that we are a managed platform that also pairs humans for escalation. I’m not ready to launch yet and still figuring out pricing. But for example, our platform will likely be $500/month, seo add-on $1000/mo and full-time dedicated human agents $2000/mo. The ICP is not a small <10 person company looking for ai chat widget. It’s the midmarket org growing that wants a cost effective outsourcing solution for service, sales, marketing, support, etc. Dedicated humans with AI integration for higher level of efficiency and quality. So instead of needing a team of 10 people at $5k ea, they only need five at $2k each and get better quality. That said some early conversations with a couple software companies asked about SOC2. I think they will make exceptions as these are personal networks but made me wonder if I should go that route now? Or wait? Maybe I am just seeing this because I happen to be talking to software companies? I did develop everything with SOc2 in mind… good policies, strong passwords/mfa, expiring api’s, etc. but plan was to add much later. I don’t have a ton of integrations so hope this isn’t too complex of an audit. Couple questions: - should I seek SOC2 now before I even launch? (I am not in a rush to launch) - Any suggestions on an affordable provider? submitted by /u/chatrep [link] [comments]
