Original Summary

I'm starting to think most of us are lying to ourselves about AI features. I keep seeing founders, including me, jump straight to what can we automate? instead of asking what would someone actually pay to stop doing? I'm around SaaS builders like bolt / replit / flatlogic enough to see the same pattern over and over: someone adds an AI assistant, AI dashboard, AI workflow, AI report, whatever. It sounds good. It demos well. Then the buyer says "cool" and keeps doing things the old way. That scares me because I don't want to spend months building something that only gets compliments. For people selling B2B SaaS: how do you tell the difference between an AI capability that feels impressive and one that is painful enough for someone to pay for? I'm not looking for generic talk-to-users advice. I mean the actual test. The question you ask. The proof you look for. The moment you say, yes, this is worth building. submitted by /u/Few-Garlic2725 [link] [comments]
