Original Summary

Hey everyone! I'm a BCA student from Nepal, and I just published my first VS Code extension, Docster . It works across JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Dart/Flutter, Java, C, C++, C#, Go and PHP . What it does: Add Doc Comment: puts your cursor on a function and gets a language-standard comment (JSDoc, Javadoc, XML docs, Godoc, docstrings, etc.) with the parameters already listed Missing comment warnings: undocumented functions get a warning underline Quick fix: hit the lightbulb (Ctrl+.) and choose "Add doc comment" Generate Documentation: builds Markdown docs for the current file Generate Project Documentation: scans your workspace and saves a single DOCS.md It's entirely rule-based, so there's no AI, no API key, and nothing leaves your machine. Python also supports Google or NumPy docstring style via a setting. Known limitations (v0.1.1): Function signatures must fit on one line JS/TS class methods aren't detected yet Generated comments contain placeholder text for you to fill in Links: Marketplace: MarketPlace GitHub: GitHub Link I'd love honest feedback: bugs, missing languages, or features you'd want next. Class method support is probably my next priority. Thanks for checking it out! submitted by /u/rustedHalo_21045 [link] [comments]
