Original Summary
Hi all. I'm the developer of ToText, which I build at Lovelace Loom, my small studio. It went up on TinyLaunch today, so I figured this is the right crowd to ask. The idea came from my own habit of recording things and never going back to them. A lecture, an interview, a long talk with someone. The useful part is in there somewhere, but scrubbing through an hour of audio to find one sentence is something I just never did. So ToText takes a recording (made in the app or imported), transcribes it with speaker labels, writes a summary and a task list, and then lets you ask it questions. The answers point to timestamps, so you can jump to the moment and hear it yourself instead of trusting the summary blindly. Things it doesn't do: it doesn't join Zoom or Meet calls, and transcription happens in the cloud. It's Freemium. TinyLaunch page: https://tinylaunch.com/launch/22589-totext What I'd really like to hear: Does "ask your recording a question" make sense from the page, or does it read like yet another transcription app? What would make you actually try it on your next recording? Feedback welcome, harsh is fine. I'll be in the comments. submitted by /u/sinsonik [link] [comments]
