Original Summary

Hi everyone, FamilyPine v3 is now available on the App Store and Google Play. It’s the biggest update we’ve ever done. We rebuilt every screen, so the app looks and feels new, but all of your family’s memories, chats and events are still there. What’s new A completely new design. Every screen has been rebuilt to be cleaner, faster and easier to use, for grandparents as well as grandkids. Memories and life events. Share whole photo and video albums in one post. Graduations, new babies, weddings and new homes now get their own life event posts. “On This Day” shows you memories from past years. Chat and calls. Group and direct chats with photos and voice messages. Voice calls are free for every family. Family events. Plan birthdays and get-togethers, see who’s going, maybe or can’t make it, and find upcoming birthdays right on your Home screen. Kids without accounts. Add children as dependents you manage, so they’re part of the family even without their own login. Premium: family tree, the secure vault (end-to-end encrypted, so only the people you share with can read it), location alerts with arrival and “not arrived” notifications, and video calls. One person pays and the whole family gets them. Before you update You’ll be signed out once. v3 uses a new, more secure login, so the first time you open the app after updating, you’ll need to sign back in. Nothing is lost. The old version will stop working. Older versions of the app will ask you to update to v3, so let your relatives know, especially anyone who doesn’t check for updates often. What hasn’t changed: no ads, no algorithms. Posts still show up in order, and only family you invite can see anything. Update now: [App Store] · [Google Play] More info on the FamilyPine website . If anything looks off or a feature you relied on works differently now, tell us in the comments. We’re reading all of them and fixing things as they come in. Thank you for being here 💚 submitted by /u/Entire_Quail_4916 [link] [comments]
