Original Summary

The trading idea part was easy. What took the longest was deciding what a bot should do at 10:40 on a Tuesday when the person who made it is in a meeting and something looks off. Where I landed: It only ever trades fake money. No setting turns that off. Every rule gets an exit before it gets an entry: a stop, a target, or out at the close. If you hook up your AI (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Codex...), the key it gets can close, cancel or pause, but opening a new position needs a separate key you hand over on purpose. It runs whether you log in or not, so you check at lunch instead of at the open. Quantradin is what I built out of those choices. You describe a rule in plain English or paste Pine/Python, it replays it over years of market history without peeking ahead, and if it holds up it runs on paper during the day while you work. American shares and their option chains, no crypto, free. quantradin.com For anyone who's built something that runs unattended: what did you decide it should do when the data looks wrong and nobody's around? submitted by /u/QuanTradin [link] [comments]
