Original Summary
Earlier this year I had a double bypass. Recovery meant physio and slowly getting stronger again, and I learned the hard way that the right workout depends on the day you're having. Every app I tried handed me a fixed plan. So I built Udapt: each morning it reads sleep and recovery from Apple Health (or asks four quick questions) and adapts today's session and food targets to fit, explaining every change in plain English. On a rough morning you get an easier session, with the original one tap away. Some honest numbers and lessons: Solo developer, no budget, iPhone and Apple Watch Launched in October: about 10 downloads so far, a couple of paying subscribers. Getting found is much harder than building. I made "research first" a rule: every training and food rule cites a published study, with the source shown in the app. It slowed me down but made it far easier to trust. No servers at all: data stays on the phone and in Apple Health, so privacy was simple. Not medical advice and not a medical app, just the plan I wanted for my own recovery. I'd love feedback from anyone building in health or fitness, especially on how you got your first 100 users.
