Original Summary
Saving a useful website takes a second. Remembering which one it was a month later is apparently a separate skill. I'm a designer, and I built Gridmarks to make saved pages easier to recognize. It's a Chrome extension with page previews, grid or list views, and folder navigation. The idea came from missing visual bookmarks when I moved from Opera to Chrome. It's now past 100 installs. Small numbers, but it's nice to know this wasn't just a very specific problem I invented for myself. Here's the product and an actual demo: https://gridmarks.info/ I'm the maker. For transparency, preview generation uses Thum.io and sends bookmarked URLs to that service. I'd love feedback on the basic idea: when you're looking for something you've saved, do you remember its name, what it looked like, or why you saved it? submitted by /u/osalomono [link] [comments]
