Original Summary
I take a lot of screenshots, mostly to paste into chats and terminals, and the macOS preview always vanished before I used it. After seeing BridgeShot, BridgeMind's paid screenshot app, I wanted a free, open source take, so I built Cornerstack, starting from Tendedero, an open source app by Alejandro Buján. Screenshots land on a stack in the bottom right corner and stay until you use them: click to copy, drag into any app, pin the ones you need again, copy the text in them (on your Mac), or press ⌥⌘C to copy the newest one from anywhere. The last release was mostly about staying light: 0.0% CPU while cards are showing (it used to check the pointer 30 times a second, now it only reacts when something happens), a 2 MB download, one app for Apple silicon and Intel. Free, MIT, macOS 14 or later: https://github.com/nemcaya/cornerstack It isn't notarized yet, so the first launch needs System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway. Happy to hear what you'd add or cut. submitted by /u/Toni_Fy [link] [comments]
