Me and my buddy run a small indie dev studio in Europe. The one thing the old version of our PDF app couldn't do was the most basic one, fixing a typo in a PDF on the phone. Not covering it with a white box and typing over it, actually changing the text. So that's the big part of myPDF 2.0, which went live this week. Tap a line, fix the typo or the date, done. It only works on PDFs with real text in them, so scanned pages and some fonts can't be edited, and the app tells you when that's the case instead of making a mess. Other things in 2.0: Fill & Sign - draw your signature or take it from a photo, and only the ink is kept, so there's no white box around it on the page Redact - mark an area or search for a name or number, and the text under the box is removed, not just covered Scan to PDF - edge detection, multi-page, then crop and filter each page Merge, split, compress - pick the pages you want from each file, and compress keeps the text selectable Chat with a PDF - ask a long contract a question and the answer shows the page it came from No ads, no account, no subscription. Reading, marking up, Fill & Sign and scanning are free, the rest is a one-time unlock. Right now 2.0 is on iPhone and iPad.
