Original Summary
I'm not a full-time developer. For the past few days I've been describing what I want in plain Korean and letting an AI coding agent (Claude Code) handle planning, coding, deployment, debugging, images and short videos. The result is a Korean information site with about 1,300 static pages that rebuilds itself every hour, with a $0 server/API bill (domain and the AI subscription are separate). How the $0 works Hosting: GitHub Pages (static HTML) Login, bookmarks, visit counter, web-push: Cloudflare Workers + D1 free tier Photo-to-ingredients for a "what can I cook with my fridge" tool: a public vision model on Workers AI, capped per day to stay inside the free allocation Data: publishers' public RSS feeds (only where robots.txt allows), a public crypto API, Google Trends RSS Automation: Windows Task Scheduler on my PC, hourly: collect, process, build, git push Interesting parts Grouping the same story across 15 news outlets: chaining articles (A~B, B~C) merged unrelated stories, so I switched to comparing everything against a seed article. A "verification signals" score instead of a fact-check verdict: cross-reporting, named sources, whether numbers and quotes in the headline appear in the body. Where the AI got it wrong A year-old undated article slipped into an RSS feed and showed up as "today's report". Fix: resolve dates from RSS, then URL, then page metadata, and drop anything older than 7 days. Single quotes used for emphasis in Korean headlines were treated as quotations. Fix: only compare double-quoted text. Generated characters with odd hands. Fix: only hand-checked images are used. Full cost table, architecture and the actual prompts I gave are on the build log page (in Korean): https://sungprofile.cloud/ailog/?src=reddit Happy to answer questions about the setup or the free-tier limits. submitted by /u/Proper_Diet6619 [link] [comments]
