Original Summary
I'm a cloud/infrastructure engineer, and one thing that always wastes time: a user reports something is slow, and the first 15 minutes go into checking five different status pages to see if it's a provider problem. So I built a feed that pulls the official status sources for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Microsoft 365 and Cloudflare into one place and filters them to what you actually use: - Your regions only. List the regions you run in, like ca-central-1 or canadacentral, and you won't hear about an incident in Singapore. - Cloudflare by data center. Filter by city or airport code (YYZ, YUL) instead of wading through every PoP maintenance notice. - One consistent format across all five providers, so you can scan everything in one table. - Schedule it every 5–15 minutes and send new incidents to Slack, email or a webhook. The trickiest part was that every provider publishes status differently (RSS, JSON APIs, HTML pages), and they name regions in completely different ways, so most of the work went into normalizing it all into one format. It runs on Apify: https://apify.com/sky_technologies/cloud-outage-feed Pricing is pay-per-use: $0.003 per status check and $0.01 per incident reported, so checking every 15 minutes costs a few dollars a month. I'd love feedback. Which providers would you add? I'm thinking GitHub, Okta, Atlassian and Zoom next. And would you rather get this as a Slack alert or a dashboard? submitted by /u/jsandhu0780 [link] [comments]
