Original Summary

Every time I asked a chatbot for ideas I got the same thing: a long flat list, half generic, and no way to say "ok, #7 is interesting, go deeper on that one" without retyping the whole context. So I built Idea Bubbles. You type one thought, it grows 3-5 ideas around it, and you click whichever one catches your eye to grow more from it. Each new idea knows the whole path above it, so a branch gets more specific the further you go instead of resetting to generic. A few things I ended up caring about: - Every idea gets scored on criteria that fit what you're doing (for business ideas: market size, ease to start, profit potential; for a problem: impact, feasibility, cost), so you can filter down to the good ones instead of rereading everything. - It's fast. First ideas show up in about two seconds. - Your maps stay in your browser. You can share one with a link (the whole map is in the link) or export to PNG, Markdown or CSV. Try it: https://stormap.ai/ideas/ Or browse a finished one first, e.g. side hustle ideas for engineers: https://stormap.ai/ideas/m/side-hustle-ideas-for-engineers Upfront about limits: 30 free clicks a day with no signup, more if you sign in (free), and paid plans only if you use it heavily. AI calls cost real money, so that's how it stays free for casual use. What I'd really like to know: Did the ideas get better as you went deeper, or did a branch go off the rails? Which kind of brainstorm did you try, and were the scores believable? What would make you come back to it next week? Happy to answer anything about how it works. submitted by /u/S_B_B_B_K [link] [comments]
