Original Summary
Hey everyone! I've been working on something a little different for the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses, and I'm finally ready to share it. It's called Space Wars , a 3D voxel-style space combat game that you play directly on your glasses using finger gestures and swipes. You pilot a spacecraft, lock onto enemy fighters, dodge incoming fire, and battle AI opponents while trying to survive a shrinking combat zone. The controls are designed specifically for the glasses: Index finger pinch: Fire lasers Pinch + drag left/right: Dodge enemy attacks Pinch + pull: Perform a High-G turn to get behind an enemy Swipe left/right: Cycle through targets Swipe up: Boost Swipe down: Switch weapons Middle finger pinch: Pause The game is currently single-player. I'm still developing and improving it. One of my biggest challenges has been getting a 3D game to run smoothly on the glasses' display. After a lot of optimization and testing, I've managed to get it running at around 30 FPS under normal conditions. You can check it out here: https://spacewarsgame.xyz/ I'd really appreciate feedback from anyone who owns the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses. I'm especially curious about the controls, gameplay, and how the graphics look through the actual display. This is an independent project I've been building, and I'd love to hear what you think. submitted by /u/rotNRollers [link] [comments]
