Original Summary

Hi everyone! 👋 A little while ago I shared Untrod here, an iPhone app that colours in every street you walk and shows your % for your neighbourhood and city. Since then, a lovely group of testers has been walking with it, and a lot of the latest build came straight from their feedback. A few things I learned: 1. People want more to discover. Testers felt the stamps leaned too heavily on churches and cemeteries. So now you can also collect viewpoints, drinking fountains, information boards, historic markers and notable trees, and stamp pages show photos. 2. Battery matters more than features. One tester told me battery drain is the main reason they've quit walking apps before. Untrod now switches to a battery saver at 10%. 3. Most people don't want to compete. About 4 in 5 testers picked Relaxed mode over Competitive. Most of us just want to fill in our own map, at our own pace. 4. People walk when they travel too. Walks in other cities now count, and the map follows you wherever you are. My favourite part is still the daily quest: a short loop of 2, 4 or 6 km through streets you've never walked, waiting for you each day. If you'd like to try it, I'd be so happy to have you. And to everyone who's already been testing: thank you, truly. 😊 Join the beta on TestFlight submitted by /u/boying747 [link] [comments]
