Original Summary

Disclosure: I'm the founder of the product I mention at the end. I sell an online electronics workshop for kids, with licenses for parents and for after-school clubs. Facebook and Instagram brought almost nothing, so today I tried Reddit with a new account. Here is what happened, in case it saves someone a bad day: • I made 12 posts in one day. 9 were removed: some by subreddit AutoModerators (account too new, not enough karma), most by Reddit's own spam filter, within seconds of posting. • Posts without any link were filtered too. The filter judges the account, not the text. • The one that worked was in a local developer community, in my own language: first person, what the product does, who it's for, one link. It got 30+ upvotes and 15 comments, including a bug report with a phone screenshot that I would never have found myself. • What moved the account forward was replying to every comment. Comment karma is what gets you past the thresholds. What I'd do differently: two or three weeks of genuinely helpful comments first, then one post per day, starting with the community where you are a local. The product, for context: kids build circuits on a virtual breadboard, fix broken circuits without hints, and race each other in duels. It can be tried without an account: https://atelier.eaea.ro/elev/invitat?de=r-saas&lang=en submitted by /u/Bordestef8 [link] [comments]
