Original Summary
Your bank balance shows what exists today, not what that money has to survive next. You can have $600 on Tuesday and still get caught short by Friday when rent and direct debits hit. So the app lays out your pay cycle day by day until payday, showing the projected balance on each day. The point is to spot the tight day before you get there. It is built around payday, not the 1st, so weekly, fortnightly, twice monthly, monthly and odd cycles all work. No bank linking. Recurring bills carry forward, so you are not rebuilding anything each cycle. Current cycle is free. Built with React Native, Expo, Supabase, and on-device transcription for voice entry. I started coding in June 2025 and learned through Claude Code. The biggest difference between my first app and this one was not me getting faster, it was my documentation getting better. It is on the App Store and the payday forecast update just shipped, which is the part above. App store link Curious how people here are actually paid. I built this assuming fortnightly and twice monthly earners are the ones badly served by calendar month budgets, but I do not know if that is true or just true for me. submitted by /u/rtistly [link] [comments]
