Original Summary

Hey everyone! I built SoundShift , a local-first desktop app for transferring playlists between Spotify and YouTube Music in both directions. I wanted something free, private, and simple, without subscriptions or manually copying API tokens. What it offers: Spotify ↔ YouTube Music transfers Smart song matching with manual review Preview matches before transferring Duplicate detection and one-click rollback No cloud backend or tracking Windows, Linux, and macOS support How is it different? TuneMyMusic supports more platforms but limits its free tier to 500 tracks. Other open-source tools like SongMirror offer powerful self-hosted syncing, while some simpler alternatives require manual authentication setup. SoundShift focuses on a straightforward native desktop experience with transparent matching and reversible transfers. What's next? I'm considering Apple Music/Deezer support, bulk migrations, automatic syncing, and better matching for hard-to-find songs. It's currently in v0.9.0 beta , so feedback and bug reports are welcome!
