Original Summary

Hello everyone I've been working on an independent project called Valdeni , a UK-based fashion marketplace for second-hand, vintage and brand-new clothing. It's live now, although still in its early stages, and I wanted to share what I've been building and get some honest feedback. I've been experimenting with a few ideas beyond the traditional marketplace experience: Runway - A short-video discovery experience where people can explore fashion through videos rather than just scrolling through static product listings. The idea is to make discovering clothes more engaging while keeping the actual shopping experience straightforward. Collections - I wanted to take the usual favourites or wishlist feature further. Instead of simply saving items, users can organise them into collections, share those collections with others, and even purchase entire collections containing items from the same seller or multiple different sellers. One account for every seller - Rather than pushing people into separate "Pro" accounts, Valdeni supports casual and professional selling within the same account. If you're a business or sole trader selling professionally, you complete the necessary business verification without needing an entirely different account. Of course, building a marketplace comes with its own challenges, especially when you're trying to make everything work together smoothly. There are still rough edges, things to improve, and plenty I'm learning along the way. The platform currently operates in the UK, but I'd really appreciate feedback from anyone interested in design, development or marketplaces. Here's the project: https://valdeni.com I'd love to hear what you think. What works, what feels unnecessary, and what would you improve? Constructive criticism is more than welcome! submitted by /u/highway_to_suicide [link] [comments]
