Original Summary
Hey everyone, My side project is a YouTube channel explaining historical battles through animated maps. I’ve just finished a film about Austerlitz, showing how Napoleon used terrain and apparent weakness to draw a larger army into a trap. I built the terrain and map animations in code, including troop movements, camera sequences, and labels. The narration, music, and some illustrations use AI tools. Here’s the finished film: https://youtu.be/MUdrsTYkZNU I’m starting from zero, and honestly, I don’t know whether to keep going with this format. Are the maps easy to follow? Does the pacing hold your attention? Would you watch another battle explained this way? If you enjoy it, please leave a comment under the YouTube video too. Every comment means a lot to a new channel, and that engagement can help the film reach more people. Even a quick note about your favorite moment or something I could improve would be really helpful. I’d love some honest feedback before deciding what to make next. Thanks for taking a look! submitted by /u/theodore_70 [link] [comments]
