Original Summary
I'm building DAY'S, an iPhone app for keeping a manual travel history: countries, arrival/departure dates and a calendar of days spent away. The core works offline, without GPS or an app account. Someone on Reddit tried adding a trip from 2019. The arrival date moved back, but the untouched departure date stayed on today. A small default made entering an old trip unnecessarily awkward. For 2.0.2, the departure now follows the arrival until you choose it yourself. An explicitly chosen departure and dates on saved trips are preserved. I also added a clearer calculation-period label and an explanation of which days the calendar shades. That update is with Apple for review, so it isn't available yet. The current app is here: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6464660094 The core manual trip log is free. There is an optional Premium subscription for extra features. If you enter old trips into an app, would you expect the untouched end date to follow the start date, or stay blank until you choose it? I'm the developer and would appreciate feedback on that flow. submitted by /u/olegonthetrip [link] [comments]
