Original Summary
I'm about to release my own SaaS, and honestly I'm a bit worried that once released, if there's traction, it will be quite easy for any company to just throw a team and LLM to copy the whole thing in a few weeks. The product is not simple on its own, it has taken me months so far and I'm a well seasoned software engineer. Without LLM it would have taken at least 1 year probably or more. But the issue is that this applies to anyone. So it has taken me months to come up with refactoring and taking the hard decisions and trials and errors. So someone can simply take screenshots of the final product and copy it. Especially since a big portion of the stack is frontend JavaScript so visible to the end user. So is the better solution to just make it non-worthy for someone to copy? By giving a big chunk of the features for free? Is this where we're heading? submitted by /u/meshifthenelse [link] [comments]
