Original Summary
I’ve been wondering what a business like mine would actually be worth. I’m not selling, just curious how people think about it. Quick rundown: 50+ published Actors across Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Google, and a few others About $5k/month revenue over the last 6 months, after Apify takes its 20% Margins around 90-95% once I pay for APIs and infrastructure, so roughly $4.5k/month profit About a year old, and revenue has grown steadily The top 5 Actors bring in around 80% of the money. Most of the rest are new and haven’t picked up much yet Worth knowing: I don’t run my own scraping setup. Most Actors sit on top of third-party data APIs, so it’s basically API arbitrage. I wrap the provider, handle the integration, and sell access on the marketplace. That keeps costs and upkeep low, but I’m obviously at the mercy of those providers. I’m not going to share charts or analytics since I’m not selling. Two things I’m wondering: Would you value this like a micro-SaaS, as a multiple of annual profit? Or does the platform dependency, competition, and API reliance push the multiple way down? Does having 50+ Actors matter to a buyer, or would they only care about the top 5? If you’ve bought, sold, or looked at Apify Actors or similar API businesses, I’d love to hear what you think. submitted by /u/max1302 [link] [comments]
