Original Summary
I've worked the line long enough to see an 86 get yelled across the pass, written on a whiteboard nobody looks at, and still get sold twice. So I built Heard, a shared board for the kitchen that runs on the phones your crew already has. What it does: - 86 board: mark an item out and every phone updates right away. FOH gets a read-only view so servers stop selling what you don't have. - Prep list: live and grouped by station. Cooks claim items and tick them off as they go. - Recipes: your builds scaled to the batch, with allergens on every menu item. - Pass-downs: signed, timestamped shift notes the next crew can actually find. - Nightly review: a closing checklist so tomorrow's crew knows what to pull, check and make. - Roux: an AI assistant that answers from your recipes and tells you which one it used, so it isn't making up your specs. It's a web app, so you just open it and sign in. You don't need an app store or a ticket to IT. While Heard is in beta, every Pro feature is free: Roux, nightly review, events, SMS alerts, and up to 50 staff. You don't need a card and there's nothing to cancel. Kitchens that send me useful feedback during the beta keep Pro free for life. The feedback form is right in the app, and I read every one. I want honest feedback from people who run a line. Tell me what's missing, what's slow mid-service, and what you'd never use. heardapp.kitchen Happy to answer anything in the comments. submitted by /u/Log-an [link] [comments]
