I always wanted a screen sitting in my board game area that, when we weren’t playing, would show stats, a leaderboard, the last game played, that kind of thing. That’s what got me started building this. I’ve been a dev for 25+ years, so building it was never really the problem, finding the time was. AI changed that for me and let me finally turn the ideas I’d been sitting on into something real. Then it kind of grew from there. Once I had all that data, game nights were the obvious next step: organize who’s coming, have everyone suggest games, and build a queue the group can up/down vote. It’s built on top of BoardGameGeek (the big board game database most hobby gamers use), so you sign in with your BGG account and it syncs your games, logged plays and players, and even detects your past game nights from your play history. I ran a beta for a few months and ended up implementing a handful of ideas from my testers, which made it a lot better than what I would’ve shipped alone.
