Original Summary
I was an Anki user who spent more time curating decks than actually learning, so I built a German vocab trainer where the review queue comes pre-built — zero deck maintenance. Would love your feedback on it. The entry point is a free adaptive vocab test: up to 40 questions, ~5 min, CEFR A1–C2, and you get an estimated word count + level instantly. No signup, no email, free: https://www.lingtogo.com/en/vocabtest Under the hood: a 37k-word core German dictionary with frequency + CEFR tags, 8 exercise types per word (spelling, cloze, listening…), and spaced repetition that schedules each word right before you'd forget it. The trainer itself lives here if you want to jump straight in: https://www.lingtogo.com/app/recite?mode=learn — everything runs in the browser, installable as a PWA, no app store. Free tier: the vocab test, the dictionary (free forever, no login wall), A1 starter words, a 50-word wordbook per language, plus a 7-day trial with everything unlocked — it just drops back to free when it ends, no card required, nothing to cancel. Paid is a one-time per-language unlock (€14.99, no subscription). Feedback welcome, especially: Does the free test's estimate feel accurate for your level? What's missing before you'd replace your current SRS setup? Happy to share how it's built (stack, architecture) if anyone's curious. submitted by /u/Sensitive_Rip_5516 [link] [comments]
