Original Summary

Hi! I built Lycana with my cofounder and we shipped two big things today, so figured I'd share an update. Quick recap: you hold Space and talk through how your system connects, and Lycana draws an editable architecture diagram while you speak. You can say stuff like "scratch that, I don't want a cache anymore" and it takes it out. You can also type, or just drag things around by hand. What's new: Subcanvases. Double click a node and it opens its own canvas, so a big system doesn't turn into spaghetti. You can also just say "break Backend down into an API, a worker and a Postgres database". Coding agents. Claude Code, Cursor or Codex can connect through MCP or our CLI and read or change your diagram while you watch. By default their changes come in as proposals you accept or reject. Drawing works without signing up at https://lycana.ai (subcanvases and agents need a free account). I built it because I really hate when everyone nods along in a design discussion and then realises they all pictured a different system. Would love to hear what breaks or what feels missing! submitted by /u/Phosphoringe [link] [comments]
