Original Summary
I'm building SkillHarbour, an Australian career and learning platform. I'd value feedback on one part of the career screen rather than a general verdict on the whole idea. The Administration Assistant page brings together a role description, a skill map and learning options. Skills are marked as core or useful, with a required level out of five. The map uses Matched, Partial Match and Missing labels, so colour isn't the only way to read it. Below that are numbered learning stages, course links and a separate workplace-practice section. Example: https://skillharbour.com.au/careers/administration-assistant The question I'm trying to answer is whether 'Microsoft Excel: needed at level 3 of 5' actually helps, or whether it needs a concrete example of what someone should be able to do at that level before it means anything. An early reviewer liked the skills comparison but found the course suggestions too random. There are learning stages on the current screen, but that doesn't by itself prove the course choices or order are right. Some matches still need checking; this isn't a claim that the problem is solved. If you were considering that role, what would you need alongside the skill label to choose one useful next task? No CV, personal profile or signup is needed to leave feedback here. submitted by /u/Public_Knowledge_980 [link] [comments]
