Original Summary
Hi Y'all! 👋 I'm Tim, a solo maker from the Netherlands. When going on a trip or holiday I always struggle with one thing, keeping track of all your documents. One reservation is buried deep in your email box, flight tickets are into the dedicated app etc etc. So I built HolidayHQ: one app for the whole trip. What it does: - Day by day itinerary, with every time in the local time of the place - Your day on a map, numbered in the order you visit, one tap opens it in Google Maps - Tickets and reservations sit with the activity they belong to. It can read a reservation from a PDF, pasted text or a screenshot, and you check it before anything is saved - Photos per day, so the trip turns into a travel journal - Share the trip with travel buddies as Traveller or Viewer - Visas and ESTAs in one list with what is still valid What it is not: a site to purchase flight tickets, hotels and so forth. It sells nothing, has no ads and does not Track any analytics. Location and camera data is removed from photos before they are uploaded, and documents only open after two-step verification. The app is built with the following services: Expo / React Native for the app, Supabase (Postgres with row level security) as the backend, Next.js on Vercel for the website. It's free. Android and iPhone are going into a small closed beta first. If you'd like to try it, the waitlist is here: https://holidayhq.nl/beta or just go through the website and see the features for yourself 😇 What I'd really like to hear: Would you use this, or do you already have a way that works for you? Which of these features would you actually open on a trip, and what's missing? Anything in the website that's unclear? I'll be around to answer everything in the comments. submitted by /u/turbotim95 [link] [comments]
