Original Summary
After a fire or flood, insurers ask you to list everything you lost, what you paid, and when you bought it. People do this from memory in a spreadsheet, while living in a hotel. It's miserable, and most people undercount and get paid less. Indemnia ( indemnia.ai ) does it from what you already have: Scans your email for receipts and pulls out each item and price Lets you photograph a room to catch things with no receipt Calculates replacement cost, depreciation and actual cash value for each line Gives you one list to hand to your adjuster It also has a version for public adjusters, who build these lists for clients and then check the insurer's depreciation report line by line. Built mostly with Claude Code. Free tier covers 150 items with no card. I'd love honest feedback: Would you set this up before a disaster, or only after? What would make you trust it with your email? submitted by /u/afettere [link] [comments]
