Original Summary
Hi everyone! I’ve been building PantryPal , a recipe app for Android, and I’d love to get some feedback from people who enjoy cooking or like trying out independent apps. The idea is to have one place to keep your recipes, discover new ones and organise your cooking without needing an account or relying on a cloud service. What PantryPal can do: 🍲 Import recipes from supported websites. 📚 Save, search, edit and organise your own recipes. 🥗 Store nutrition information, including calories, protein, carbs and fat. 🌍 Browse recipe websites through themed categories, including budget meals, comfort food, high-protein dishes and seasonal recipes. 📱 Keep your recipes stored locally on your device. It’s built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose , and the source code is available on GitHub under the MIT licence. I’m developing it in the open and adding features as I go. GitHub: https://github.com/Anarchyukz/PantryPal I’d really appreciate feedback: what features would make a recipe app genuinely useful to you? I’m particularly interested in suggestions for recipe importing, meal planning and shopping lists. It’s still a work in progress, so honest and constructive feedback is very welcome! Thanks for taking a look. submitted by /u/Excellent-Ad-2575 [link] [comments]
