Original Summary
Hi everyone, I'm a solo developer. Typing and using a mouse get harder for me over time because of Parkinson's, so I built Maestro, a Windows app that controls the PC by voice: open apps, open Gmail, write emails, search the web and manage files. How it works: - Desktop app built with Tauri (Rust + React/TypeScript) - Speech recognition runs in the cloud (ElevenLabs) - An AI model understands the command and picks the right action - It asks for confirmation before anything risky, like deleting a file or sending an email - A red mic button shows when it's listening, and it can be set to react only when you call it by name Right now it understands Greek only. English is next once the core is reliable. Version 1.0.27 is on maestrovoice.com. What I'd love feedback on: which voice command would you use every day, and what would make you trust a voice app on your PC? Disclosure: parts of the code and texts were made with AI assistance. I'm funding the next versions with a small crowdfunding campaign and happy to share the link if anyone asks. submitted by /u/akariavoulas [link] [comments]
