Hi everyone, I've always loved the aesthetic of sci-fi command centers and holographic interfaces, but most voice AI projects I tested were either rigid audio bots or broke down whenever you tried to speak over them. Over the past few months, I built J.A.R.V.I.S Plus — an open-source, self-hosted autonomous voice assistant and command center built on top of Nous Research's Hermes Agent. What I built into it: 5 Live-Switchable HUD Interfaces : Aetheria : Holographic female AI with orbital reactive audio rings and slide-over System Inspector. IronCore : Tactical Arc Reactor Mark VII core with rotating mechanical telemetry rings. Zenith : Apple Siri / fluid iridescent color-morphing orb. Omni : Minimalist organic deformable audio blob. Astra : Multi-bar neural frequency spectrum waves. Full-Turn Voice Barge-In : You can interrupt Jarvis mid-sentence ("Stop", spacebar, or speaking over it); it immediately aborts active tool runs and flushes audio buffers. Thought Deduplication : Internal reasoning chains are filtered so it speaks status at most once per turn rather than spamming the user with internal monologue. Multilingual & RTL Native : 9 UI languages with bidirectional RTL mirroring (Persian & Arabic) while keeping technical hardware metrics strictly LTR. Audio Pipeline : Neural Silero VAD (~12ms CPU latency) with automated Whisper silence/hallucination suppression and acoustic feedback cancellation. The project is completely free and MIT-licensed.
