Original Summary

Hey r/SideProject , I've been building PureCanvas, a vector design app like Canva that runs 100% in the browser. No install, no accounts, works fully offline and self-hostable. What it does: - Vector drawing: pen/path tools, shapes, lines - Drop-in icon sets you can edit - Image support, plus Pixabay integration - Text tool with font controls - Layers, grouping, alignment, full properties panel - Export to standard formats Why I built it: most good vector tools are expensive, slow, desktop-only, or lock you into an account. I wanted something free you can just open and make things with. It's free forever and open source. I also just shipped a big update adding mobile support which I need feedback on. Site: https://www.purecanvas.app Source: https://github.com/teccdev/purecanvas It's 100% free, built solo over the last few months, and it will never have a stupid premium subscription or anything. I've still got big plans for making this better than the paid design apps. submitted by /u/taco-pwr [link] [comments]
