I wanted a simple PDF reader with a clean interface and just the features I use, so I built Jack’s PDF . Smooth, continuous scrolling with automatic fit-to-width and adjustable zoom. Arrow keys to scroll and move between PDFs in the same folder. Click any page to select it, then rotate that page, or all pages, with a smooth animation. Save rotated copies while keeping the original protected. Encrypted recent-file history and remembered folder access. Compact dark interface, keyboard shortcuts, and no tracking or cloud uploads. Named after my dog Jack It’s built with native Swift and PDFKit, with help from OpenAI ChatGPT models. Free and open source under MIT, with a download for Apple-silicon Macs running macOS 14+.
