Original Summary
I've been writing and self-publishing fiction for about ten years, and I've always been frustrated by how fragmented the process can be. One app for planning, another for writing, and yet another for getting the finished book to look professional. So I built Pepino. It's a browser-based writing workspace with a chapter/scene binder, story bible, visual plotting, series-wide continuity checking, and a full book typesetting engine for PDF and EPUB. A few things I'm particularly proud of: You can open the website and start writing immediately. No account required. You can import your own manuscript and see it professionally typeset right in the browser. It can check continuity against earlier books in a series. The AI doesn't write your fiction. It's there to help catch inconsistencies. It even has some gloriously unnecessary features like Funky Mode and an editor that changes its appearance to match the mood of your writing. I've also decided to offer a lifetime licence for $29.99 for the first 500 copies, rather than put the core software behind a subscription. Optional AI continuity usage is separate. I'm especially interested in whether the instant, no-signup experience and the interactive landinf page makes people more willing to try a fairly substantial piece of software. You can play with it here: https://pression.app/ I'd love feedback, particularly from people who've used Scrivener, Vellum, or Atticus. submitted by /u/Antonis427 [link] [comments]
